Baker Machado is currently a broadcast journalism graduate student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a freelance journalist for E! Online. He owns a bachelors degree from Colorado State University in Speech Communication.

Baker has won close to 20 national and regional awards for his broadcast work, including "National Radio Personality of the Year" from both the Broadcast Educators Assoc. and the Collegiate Broadcasters Inc, and "Best in Festival Audio 2005" from the BEA. He has also won regional awards from the Society of Professional Journalists.

In 2007 he interned with the Emmy Award winning Current TV in Hollywood, for the comedy/news show InfoMania, working under show developer Madeleine Smithberg (co-creator of the Daily Show).

While attending CSU, Baker worked at the college run radio station, 90.5 KCSU-FM, holding numerous management positions running the production and program departments, until the spring of 2006 he was handed the keys as its Station Manager. However it would be his on-air work that would garner him most of his notoriety in Northern Colorado. His program Baker Machado: LIVE, was a mix of news and entertainment and was consistently rated as KCSU's most listened to program. The show included interviews with the late voiceover artist Don LaFontaine and VH1's Best Week Ever's Christian Finnegan.

Born and raised in the Northern Colorado area, Baker loves being around his friends and family, cooking (although not why his parents chose the name), traveling and dancing alone in his room.

He currently lives in Fort Collins, Colo.
